The original Trapper owes its name to the trappers who roamed the forests of North America for hunting. The design of the knife dates back to the 19th century and is characterized by its slim lines and the characteristic upper and lower bolsters on the handle. Instead of a nail nick and a slipjoint, the Boker Plus Hidden Release Trapper as an automatic knife utilizes its matt stainless steel bolster to open and release the satin-finished D2 blade by simply sliding it upwards via the discreetly integrated bolster lock. The industrial-looking design of the bolsters is reflected in the fine, non-slip texture of the hand-flattering handle scales made of black G10. This gives the knife a tidy look that is harmoniously rounded off by the deep-carry clip (tip-up/r).

The Hidden Release Trapper Auto has an overall length of 8”, A closed length of 4.125", and a weight of 4 oz.  The 3.25" fine edge, Trapper style drop-point blade is made of Satin Finished D2 tool steel.  The handle has a stainless steel frame with textured Black G-10 scales, smooth stainless butt end bolsters, and cross hatched blade and bolsters.  Slide the bolster a little to the right to deploy the blade and then to unlock it for closing.    For carrying, the Hidden Release Trapper Auto has a tip-up pocket clip.
