The original Trapper owes its name to the trappers who roamed the forests of North America for hunting. The design of the knife dates back to the 19th century and is characterized by its slim lines and the characteristic upper and lower bolsters on the handle. Instead of a nail nick and a slipjoint, the Boker Plus Hidden Release Trapper as an automatic knife utilizes its matt stainless steel bolster to open and release the satin-finished D2 blade by simply sliding it upwards via the discreetly integrated bolster lock. Hand-flattering handle scales made of Appaloosa bone with their grain and brown iridescent coloring create an unmistakable western look and make each knife an absolutely unique piece. The clear lines are harmoniously rounded off by a tip-up clip (r), which allows the knife to be carried deep-carry.

The Hidden Release Trapper Auto has an overall length of 8”, A closed length of 4.125", and a weight of 4 oz.  The 3.25" fine edge, Trapper style drop-point blade is made of Satin Finished D2 tool steel.  The handle has a stainless steel frame with Appaloosa Bone scales, smooth stainless butt end bolsters, and cross hatched blade and bolsters.  Slide the bolster a little to the right to deploy the blade and then to unlock it for closing.    For carrying, the Hidden Release Trapper Auto has a tip-up pocket clip.
