Product Description
The ASTOR is Spartan's first folding knife collaboration with prolific knife maker Les George. The ASTOR was built as a robust "Work Horse" of a knife! From its tough G-10 scales, thick liner-lock, and high ground premium CTS-XHP blade steel the ASTOR is the perfect knife for those jobs that require an extra bit of toughness. The deep carry pocket clip can be configured for left hand carry by switching to the left side and using the dual thumb studs. All at an affordable price!
All of the Bronze (Field) Grade folders incorporate the new “Oil Infused Bronze Bushing System” or “OIBBS”! The sintered bronze bushings are impregnated with oil which reduces the friction on the blade, thus giving you a tight but smooth blade opening. This system is especially useful for slow speeds, intermittent use, and uneven loads such as are found on folding knives.

I think this is my favorite work EDC
For me so far this has been a great blade. It’s not a fidget toy or a light weight mail opener. I have a few other blades that are fun to play with or less noticeable in your pocket but I wanted an every day knife for work, and so far this Spartan has been outstanding. It has a deep carry pocket clip and stays out of the way but is easy to get out. With oil or grease on my hands, I don’t feel like it is going to slip out. And the blade is probably the sharpest I’ve ever owned. It cut through a thick zip tie with less effort then I was expecting and I hit the blade pretty hard on the edge of some Gr. 50 steel, which slightly rolled the blade edge. However, I was impressed that’s all the more that happened with how hard it hit. This was my first order from Knife Command because they had the best price, but I won’t hesitate to buy from them again. Anthony on Nov 01, 2021 Nov 01, 2021
