Randall Made Knives Pre-Owned Model 14 Attack Buffalo & TriAthlete Piggyback Set

This is a Pre-Owned, Randall Made Knives, Model 14 Attack and TriAthlete set.  Some of these were produced in the early 2000's.  The piggyback sheath was custom made by Greg Gutcher.  For the collector, the Model 14 was made with Buffalo horn handle.   The shop doesn't work with this material any longer. 

This set is pre-owned, but never used.  The knives have been kept in the sheath, therefore there are some hilt marks around the throat and keeper strap.   Other than that, the sheath is in excellent shape with all tight stitches, working snaps, and all original leg ties.

The Model 14 Attack CDT, as mentioned, features a beautiful Buffalo horn handle.  It is deep black with the exception of the top where has some nice white wave lines.  The 7-1/2" blade is stainless steel and is in mint condition.  The knife has a double brass Model 1 hilt, brass and black spacers, and a brass butt cap.  There are no scratches or pitting.  All the brass has a nice, uniform patina.   You can polish it if you like, we think it looks great as it is.  This knife is approximately 12-1/4" overall.

The second knife of the set is a Randall TriAthlete.  This all stainless steel, one piece knife is 6-1/2" long with a 3" drop-point blade.  The blade is polished while the handle section has a satin finish.  Excellent condition.   The TriAthlete fits in a smaller pocket on the front of the sheath and is held in place with a keeper strap with a snap that attaches through the large hole in the handle.

These are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition.
