This knife features a Black Kal-Gard coated, 3.3", half serrated, 2.5mm thick, spear point blade made from stainless Böhler N695 steel (HRC 58). It is 8.1" open length, 4.8" closed. It has a maintenance free, ergonomically designed, all weather handle of Black anodized, AIMg3 aluminum. At the butt end, there is a hardened carbide glass breaker mounted just behind an integrated belt cutter with replaceable blade. There are black stainless steel liners with a liner lock mechanism. The lock is disengaged by a large black button on one side. The blade also has a large thumb disc for easy opening, even when wearing gloves. For carrying, there is a black stainless steel pocket clip.
The PRT-VIII comes in an Eickhorn Solingen, foam lined, tin box complete with a blade pivot tensioning key. Each knife is individually serial numbered.
